On Friday night, April 25, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability circulated to its members legislation to increase FERS contributions, reduce CSRS and FERS annuities, eliminate the FERS Supplemental Annuity
On March 12, NAPS asked the federal trial court to rule in its favor on all issues in its long-running lawsuit against the Postal Service regarding the FY2016-2019 EAS pay package.
The USPS will be rescinding and modifying the existing Management Instruction EL-310-2024-2 7/30/04 Telework Program for Eligible Non-Bargaining Employees and PCES policy.
Many tens of thousands of carriers and clerks were paid more than over 15,000 employees in the EAS positions that supervise them.
NAPS requests that with this especially hazardous situation due to this heat dome that all USPS activities that would place EAS in hazardous, unsafe conditions be suspended. NAPS contends that to continue requiring EAS to place their lives in danger is a hazardous and unsafe work practice.
These proposed modifications are currently under review and are awaiting recommendations so that changes can be implemented prior to the effective date of the FY2023 PFP award.
