MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Friends and coworkers of 44-year-old Aundre Cross, the USPS letter carrier who was shot and killed while on the job in December, gathered at the Skybox Sports Bar in Milwaukee Sunday night to celebrate his life.
Loved ones told CBS 58’s Ellie Nakamoto-White that despite the tragedy, Cross’ legacy will continue to live on forever.
“He was an outgoing soul that was taken from us unnecessarily, but at the end of the day I know he would appreciate this, coworkers, family coming together to appreciate him,” Matthews said. “I know he’s smiling, and I know he’s looking at us saying I love y’all for that.”
