According to Vashon Island Fire District and King County Sheriff’s Office, there were no known injuries in this accident and no one was transported off-island to receive medical care. In terms of the mail being in the truck, we are still chasing this down, but there was at least some: this reporter saw two postal workers cleaning up the site later in the afternoon, and the clean-up included one tub of some charred mail. The inside of the truck was completely burned, with no recognizable mail in the charred remains.
