West Paris, ME post office set to reopen after 3-year closure

The U.S. Postal Service says they will finally be reopening the West Paris post office after three years.

The tentative new site is 141 Bethel Road but could change based on agreements with property owners.

In a statement, USPS says it does not know when this change will happen but is “moving quickly to reestablish services within this community.”

For the past three years, West Paris residents have had to drive to South Paris for mail services, which is about eight miles away.

Congressman Jared Golden has called out the Postmaster General in the past for “not being responsive” to complaints and questions from residents.
