WASHINGTON (TND) — Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., is demanding answers from the United States Postal Service, which she believes could be leaking sensitive data.
In a letter to United States Postal Service Postmaster General and CEO Louis DeJoy Thursday, Rep. Foxx decried language in the agency’s privacy policy which some believe could allow it to share Americans’ personal information with labor unions. She pointed to USPS’s webform for receiving free COVID test kits, which required millions to share information such as emails, names and addresses.
Rep. Foxx told DeJoy the House Committee on Education and the Workforce is conducting an investigation into the matter.
