The United States Postal Service has sworn in a new executive postmaster of the Bronx, the first Trinidadian woman to serve in the position.
Adela Livingston was officially sworn in on Friday as the 13th executive postmaster of the Bronx. She started her career in the Postal Service back in the 1980s as a letter carrier. She worked as a carrier, clerk and in delivery operations before reaching this prestigious position.
“It is an honor to make that milestone… to have my people emulate, the younger girls emulate and see that they can do this also,” said Livingston.
