The Postal Service is marking the first anniversary of its first licensed ride-on vehicle for kids.
The battery-operated toy, produced by Kid Trax, is geared toward ages 3 to 5 and features a mail slot, rear opening door and working headlights and horn. It also comes with a mailbox and three plastic letters for aspiring carriers to make deliveries.
The toy received the 2021 Good Housekeeping Best Toy Award and made the Parents website’s list of the Best Toys of 2021 for Preschoolers.
Both awards were announced last November and helped propel the toy as a popular gift for the 2021 holiday season, with social media posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The vehicle, which sells for about $349, is available from Kid Trax, Amazon and Target.
Kid Trax also offers a Post Office play tent that sells for about $50 and is available from the company and Amazon.
