CINCINNATI —
A United States Postal Service worker was assaulted and robbed outside of a business in the Clifton area on Tuesday evening, according to police.
Officials have confirmed to WLWT that a mail carrier had been off duty for about an hour and was still in his postal uniform when he was assaulted and robbed outside the Clifton Mini Mart on Highland Avenue.
According to the Postal Inspector’s Office, two suspects were involved in the attack at around 8 p.m.
Police say the suspects pulled the victim from his car and demanded he hand over his arrow key — a device that acts as a universal key for mailboxes — but the victim said he didn’t have it.
The suspects then assaulted and robbed the mail carrier of his personal property and fled.
