USPS Honors One of Its Own: Memorial Procession for Paul Falica

A Memorial Procession will be held Friday morning to honor Carrier Paul Falica, who was killed in a vehicular accident on Dec. 15. Falica worked for the Postal Service for over three decades.

Where:

Travel Route: Start at the Sulphur Springs Post Office (parking lot), 6706 N. Nebraska Ave, Tampa, FL 33604.  Left on Nebraska, Right on E. Waters Ave, Right on N. 14th St, Right on E. Bird, Left on N 9th St, Left on E. River Cove. Drive through the intersection of E. River Cove and N. Mulberry Street, where the procession will end.

“We are deeply saddened by the death of Paul Falica, Letter Carrier at Sulphur Springs Post Office. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends, including the many people he worked with at the Postal Service and whose lives he touched within the Tampa community. The quick efforts and information from customers, Tampa Police Department, United States Postal Inspection Service, and first responders led to a swift capture of the suspect involved in this hit and run tragedy. This helped provide some closure to our team and is truly appreciated.” said Tampa Postmaster Jackie Villemaire.
