GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — A woman from Pentwater was “critically injured” and a woman from Cedar was “seriously injured” in a crash on Thursday, according to Michigan State Police.

At 2:56 p.m., troopers and deputies were called to the site of a crash that was blocking Cedar Run Road and NE Li Wa Lane.

“Preliminary investigation indicates a United State Postal Service (USPS) vehicle was traveling westbound on Cedar Run Road when the driver lost control, crossed the center line, and struck an eastbound vehicle,” MSP said in a press release.

The USPS driver, a 30-year-old Pentwater woman, was “critically injured” and the driver of the eastbound vehicle, a 53-year-old Cedar woman, was “seriously injured,” MSP said.

Both were transported to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
