Store manager says USPS driver dumped bags of mail into their dumpster

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Some mail for homeowners in East Memphis seems to have reached the wrong address after being found in the dumpster of an Ace Hardware.

A manager at the chain’s East Memphis location says they saw a USPS postal worker dump bags of mail into their dumpster Friday at around 5 p.m.

The dumpster is found around the corner of the building on the edge of the Quince Station strip mall.

The mail left behind was addressed to homeowners with the 38117 ZIP Code.

The manager says a USPS postal inspector investigated where the mail was dumped.
