Detroit – “The USPS’s Next Generation Delivery Vehicle is an opportunity for the Biden administration to make real investments in both a cleaner future and good union jobs, but the contract as it currently stands fails on both accounts.
To address this problem, we urge the Administration via the Environmental Protection Agency to refer the Postal Service’s decision on its delivery trucks to the CEQ. This is a critical issue for workers and the environment.
The UAW submitted comments on the USPS Draft Environmental Impact Study and the failure of the study to consider the impact of where and how the vehicles are produced.
Like EPA, the UAW finds the final environmental review is incomplete and flawed. Workers and the environment are relying on this Administration via EPA to refer this item to the CEQ for dispute resolution.”
