The Postal Service will release its Life Magnified stamps on Aug. 10.
The pane features 20 images that explore life on Earth as few have seen it.
Using powerful microscopes and specialized photographic techniques, the subjects — which include the surface of an oak leaf and freshwater protozoans — take on an otherworldly form.
Derry Noyes, an art director for USPS, designed the stamps and pane using existing photographs.
The Forever stamps will be available at Post Offices and usps.com.
