Opinion: ‘Independent’ panel rubber-stamps postal hikes again

In recent years, you’ve also used stamps designated as “Forever,” but that’s a much stickier subject.

That’s because a bureaucratic yet allegedly “independent” entity, empowered with oversight of the United States Postal Service has been granted authority to define “Forever” in this Land of the Free – and it almost always portends higher fees.

The Postal Regulatory Commission– which seems to always “rubber stamp” (pun intended) virtually every proposal placed before it by our Postal Service – once again has received a recommendation to increase the standard prices for the ways in which we send our cards and letters.
