Newly renovated downtown Las Vegas Post Office opening this week

The newly renovated Las Vegas Downtown Post Office will reopen to the public this week.

The U.S. Postal Service says it will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday to welcome the community back to the historic building at 201 S. Las Vegas Blvd., at the corner of Carson Avenue.

“We’ve spent the last few years renovating the inside and outside of this historic building,” developer J Dapper, who owns the building, said in a statement. “We’re confident both the postal employees and their customers will find the new space more conducive to their needs.”

Postal officials say the office will serve the downtown community, including the courts, government agencies, businesses and residents.

Scratch-and-sniff stamps and lickable parcels

There are few smells more French than that of a buttery, flaky croissant. That’s probably why France’s postal service, La Poste, started selling stamps in October 2025 infused with the scent of the iconic pastry.
