In a statement, the USPS says it has an aggressive hiring campaign, but it continues to face intermittent issues with employee availability that can lead to short term delays.
“We’re utilizing all of the tools at our disposal. Including authorizing overtime, delivering earlier and later in the day and reallocating resources from neighboring offices when available. We appreciate our customers patience as we work through these short term issues,” a USPS spokesperson said.
“It’s kind of bad when you’re expecting bills, you’ve got insurance and everything else coming in, you’re looking for it, you want to get it taken care of,” Christensen said.
“Frankly, I don’t miss the junk mail,” Lebanon resident Deborah Wilson said.
