Jessica Ann Rubio, 31, was charged with credit card abuse of the elderly, a third-degree felony, after a victim claimed her credit cards were stolen.
Police said on Apr. 10, the elderly victim made a report saying that a credit card that she was waiting to be mailed to her was stolen and someone was making fraudulent purchases with it.
Detectives discovered that the card in question was used to make purchases at two San Antonio businesses. They were able to get still shots of the suspect from video surveillance while the purchases were being made.
Investigators showed those photos to the victim, who identified the suspect as her mail carrier. Detectives took those same photos to officials with the U.S. Postal Service, who identified the suspect in the photos as Rubio and that she was the mail carrier for the victim.
