NATCHEZ — Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten would release no more information this morning about the fatal shooting at the Washington Shell gas station and convenience store on Friday night. Patten said he expects to release a joint press release with Adams County District Attorney Tim Cotton at some point over the weekend. However, a family member of the victim, Jammie Keating, released his name on social media this morning. The family member thanked the community for the many expressions of sympathy shown.
Keating was a veteran mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Vidalia, Louisiana. The suspected shooter is in custody. No other details about the shooting have been released by law enforcement.
