Defendants in postal carrier robberies sentenced to prison

A judge handed down a federal prison sentence to two men for robbing United States postal carriers at gunpoint in Edmond and Stillwater.

The indictment charged Taryan Nabond Prince-Sadler, 20, of Oklahoma City, with two counts of armed robbery of mail, money, or other property of the United States.

Additionally, they charged him with two counts of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, two counts of possessing a postal key without authorization, one count of possessing stolen mail, and one count of stealing mail.

Authorities charged Rijae Varnell Luster, 23, with aiding and abetting the armed robbery of property of the United States and named him a co-defendant.

The pair faced accusations of robbing four postal carriers between August 2022 and March 2023, with two of the robberies involving threatening the workers at gunpoint.
