An multi-vehicle crash shortly after noon involving a U.S. Postal Service delivery truck has shut down traffic on Smith-Enke Road.
The westbound lanes are closed while Maricopa police and other law enforcement agencies investigate the three-car accident that included the postal truck.
All three drivers were taken to Exceptional Healthcare – Maricopa for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Maricopa Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Hal Koozer said.
MPD did not release the names of any of the drivers involved.
Images and drone footage from the scene showed the vehicles sustained severe damage, with the USPS truck on its side. Mail was strewn across the roadway.
