The U.S. Postal Service is transforming. Under our comprehensive, 10-year Delivering for America plan, we are modernizing our network and discarding practices that have held us back for years. We are also creating opportunities for growth — for us and American businesses — by bringing more solutions to market that meet our customers’ needs and strengthen our relationship with them.
One of the primary drivers of this growth is our new USPS Connect suite of solutions, and I am thrilled to be leading the team that developed and is implementing this innovative approach.
USPS Connect embraces the operational benefits of the Postal Service’s vast network, all with an eye on providing American businesses effective and affordable solutions. With USPS Connect, every commercial enterprise in the country — regardless of their size — can make themselves more competitive by offering their customers a full range of delivery and returns options.
We worked closely with our customers to understand their business needs and identify their priorities. The result is a suite of solutions that plays to the unique strengths of the Postal Service as the only carrier that serves every address in the nation, six and often seven days a week.
By using USPS Connect, retailers can now reach their customers quicker, more reliably and at a price that is right for them.
We have a fantastic resource that highlights the benefits of USPS Connect Local, USPS Connect Regional, USPS Connect National and USPS Connect Returns solutions and, over the coming months, we’ll have lots of updates for you as USPS Connect Local rolls out across the nation.
For those of you who enjoy a good podcast, I recently sat down with the hosts of the Postal Service’s own “Mailin’ It” show to explain in depth how USPS Connect is helping to change the landscape of online commerce.
While you are there, I recommend listening to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s insights into Delivering for America.
Under this transformative plan, we are reconfiguring our entire network, investing in our people, modernizing facilities, updating our ground transportation, increasing automation and enhancing our IT structure to make it easier for businesses to engage with us. These changes are essential to our ability to offer American businesses a competitive, effective and reliable set of USPS Connect solutions that meet their delivery needs.
