As if Yellowstone wasn’t already the gnarliest place in the lower 48, we come to find out the postal workers out there have a monster truck with 49-inch tires. There’s about 120 people living in parts of Yellowstone National Park that are only accessible by snowmobile in the offseason.
They get their mail/packages from four seasonal post offices around the park and when the roads become impassable for normal vehicles they bust out this jacked up Ford Super Duty to make the 150 mile round trip twice a week to drop off the mail.
The F-550 with a 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8 and an 8 inch lift kit is driven by Yellowstone Ranger and winter courier Rachel Cudmore. Rachel is 6ft, so you be the judge how tall the USPS big rig stands↓↓↓ Things are just more rugged at Yellowstone.
