In his latest video message, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy discusses how the Postal Service will evolve as an employer.
But first, he recognized employees for their efforts in the ongoing aftermaths of Hurricane Fiona in Puerto Rico and Hurricane Ian in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas.
“Many of the communities that we serve and that our colleagues live in experienced tremendous loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected,” he says.
The rest of the video focuses on the organization’s network and delivery strategy and how it will involve employees.
“Our competition for the package business will be fierce. But my confidence in the women and men of the Postal Service assures me of our future success. This is why I, along with your leadership team, am committed to ensuring you long, stable and successful careers. We need you,” he says.
The video, released Oct. 11, is available on Link and other postal websites and will be shown to employees throughout the organization this week and next.
