Garrett M. Hoyt, Technology Applications vice president, will retire after 36 years with the Postal Service.

Angela Lawson has been named acting Technology Applications vice president, starting June 30.

During Hoyt’s tenure, he directed the development of technology applications, including the integrated logistics platform, Click-N-Ship, address validation, price changes, fleet management, payroll, product tracking and reporting, and the integrated budget system.

He helped oversee the COVID-19 test kit initiative by leading the team that designed, developed and deployed the ordering platform during the pandemic.

She began her career as Intelligent Mail and address quality program manager. As the systems integration senior director, she was responsible for leading the development of logistics visibility programs and the strategy of the enterprise data management program.

Lawson previously held management positions with address quality programs and address technology. She has also served as advanced analytics director and as Alabama District manager.

Technology Applications was created in 2020 during the organization’s realignment.
