UPDATE: The United States Postal Service has reopened the Shallowford Road location on Tuesday, following a deadly shooting over the weekend.
A press release from USPS says the location has resumed full operations as of November 1.
The facility was closed after police say 27-year-old Brian Simmons got in to an argument on Sunday with his supervisor, 30-year-old Cody Ranson, before shooting and killing Ranson.
Police say Simmons left the post office and ended up crashing in to a Hixson business where he was found dead.
