NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal
NEW YORK – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, April 22, in New York City.
These familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible on Saturday, April 22. Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on Monday, April 24.
Collection boxes are impacted at the following locations:
Nassau Avenue between Lorimer Street and Manhattan Avenue.
Manhattan Avenue between Nassau Avenue and Greenpoint Avenue.
Greenpoint Avenue between Manhattan Avenue and Franklin Street.
Franklin Street (which becomes Kent Avenue at N 14th Street) between Greenpoint Avenue and Williamsburg Street West.
Williamsburg Street West between Kent Street and Flushing Avenue.
Flushing Avenue between Williamsburg Street West and Navy Street.
Navy Street between Flushing Avenue and York Street.
York Street between Navy Street and Gold Street.
Gold Street between York Street and Front Street.
Front Street between Gold Street and Old Fulton Street.
Old Fulton Street between Front Street and Cadman Plaza West.
Cadman Plaza West between Old Fulton Street and Joralemon Street.
Joralemon Street between Cadman Plaza West and Flatbush Avenue.
Flatbush Avenue between Joralemon Street and Grand Army Plaza.
Any/All collection boxes in/around Grand Army Plaza.
Eastern Parkway between Grand Army Plaza and Flatbush Avenue.
Any/All collection boxes in Prospect Park.
