USPS Prepares for the 22nd Annual New York City Triathlon

NEW YORK — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, September 30, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Monday, October 2.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

Manhattan:

  1. Both sides of 72nd Street between The Henry Hudson Parkway and Central Park.
  2. Both sides of 96th Street between The Henry Hudson Parkway and Central Park.
  3. Both sides of Riverside Drive between 101st street and 72nd Street.

Bronx:

  1. Both sides of the Mosholu Parkway between The Henry Hudson Parkway and Gun Hill Road.

For additional locations to deposit mail, customers are directed to usps.com and to use Quick Tools to Find Locations. Use the dropdown for collection boxes or post offices to find alternate locations for secure mail deposits in the immediate area.
