OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — USPS Oklahoma City was selected as a pilot site for a new position with the postal service called Postal Vehicle Operator.
People hired as a Postal Vehicle Operator will begin their career as part-time employees, which means they will be eligible for health and leave benefits on their first day of work.
After two weeks, those employees will become full-time with a guarantee of 40 hours per week. Starting pay is $25.70 per hour.
A Postal Vehicle Operator operates postal and leased vehicles, that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License, to pick up and transfer bulk quantities of mail between postal and non-postal facilities.
A job fair will be held on December 20 at the Oklahoma City Processing and Distribution Center at 4025 W. Reno Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
