U.S. Rep. Ken Buck has pledged to take a deeper dive into postal delivery in Elbert County, after getting improved results for Douglas County.
“Rural mail service has degraded tremendously,” Elbert County Commissioner Chris Richardson told Buck during a call Wednesday with Northeastern Colorado commissioners. “[There’s] missing mail, and late mail throughout the county.”
It is especially concerning, he said, in a state that county clerks have agreed has gone almost totally to election mail-in ballots.
