MEDFORD, Ore. — The United States Postal Service (USPS) is reviewing a mail processing facility to support a new regional mail processing and distribution center (RPDC) in Portland.
Kim Frum, the Strategic Communication Specialist for the USPS office in Oregon and Washington said the new improvements will simplify processes and standardize the facility’s layout.
“Potential improvements could include reconfiguring the facility like moving equipment around, moving around where the workers are stationed to better support and improve our increased delivery performance, long-term financial sustainability,” Frum said.
The new change is part of the ten-year strategic plan, “Delivering for America.” During the process, the Medford facility plans on keeping its doors open.
