The U.S. Postal Service wants to relocate the Ganado post office at 191 State Highway 264 on the Navajo Nation and has invited the public to weigh in on the proposal.

Due to deteriorating conditions at the existing facility, the postal service is trying to relocate retail services as close as possible to the current location, remaining somewhere in the 86505 ZIP code, it said in a news release. Officials are looking for an approximately 3,600 sq. ft. building with enough parking for at least two dozen vehicles.

Until a new office is completely up and running, retail services will continue at the existing location. In lieu of a public meeting, the public can mail comments about the project within the next 30 days to United States Postal Service, Attn Ganado AZ Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.
