USPS Monitors Facebook and Twitter Posts by Zip Code

You wouldn’t think the Postal Service would need to go far to find complaints about local mail service or postal issues. But it turns out the agency created a tool to help it do so – and your rants and raves on social media about your local Post Office may be making a difference.
It turns out the USPS is monitoring social media to measure customer service satisfaction, and it does so by zip code. A social-media heat map uses the data visualization program Tableau to geographically display comments left on the organization’s official Facebook and Twitter accounts and from online review sites
