The Mountain Flora and African Daisy Global stamps will be available on March 14.

The Mountain Flora stamps, announced in November, will feature hand-drawn illustrations, refined digitally, of four flowers that grow in mountain areas: pasqueflower, Woods’ rose, wood lily and alpine buttercup.

An important part of the natural world, wildflower habitats support a variety of species, including butterflies, bees, birds and foraging mammals. Beginning in spring, wildflower habitats become a riot of beautiful blooms.

Ethel Kessler designed the stamps using original art by Lili Arnold.

The African Daisy stamp, announced in January, will feature a photograph of an orange flower against a white background.

Native to southern Africa, Osteospermum — called the African daisy — is widely available in U.S. nurseries.

The flowers open in the morning sun, with blooms in a variety of colors, including purple, pink, yellow, orange and white.

Greg Breeding designed the stamp using a photograph by Cindy Dyer. William Gicker served as art director.

The Mountain Flora stamps are being issued in booklets of 20 and coils of 3,000 and 10,000, while the African Daisy Global stamp will be available in panes of 10.

There will be no national dedication ceremonies for the stamps, which will be available at Post Offices and usps.com.
