EAP services available for postal employees

The Postal Service wants employees to know about professionals who are available to provide confidential counseling, consultation and coaching services to help manage life’s challenges.

The USPS Employee Assistance Program is a free, voluntary program that offers assessment, referral, short-term counseling and more to postal employees and their families.

EAP provides 24/7 access to licensed professionals who can provide:

• Face-to-face counseling;

• Video counseling;

• Telephone counseling;

• “In-the-moment” support;

• Online therapy;

• Coaching and training; and

• Consultations.

EAP professionals can also assist employees with issues related to work-life balance, health and wellness, elder and child care, critical incident response, suicide prevention and retirement.

Employees can learn more about EAP and access web-based tools at EAP4YOU.com or by calling 800-327-4968 (800-EAP-4YOU) or TTY at 877-492-7341.
