Effective November 6, 2023, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®), in various sections, to reflect the Postal Service’s discontinued use of Priority Mail Express® Label 11-B, Priority Mail Express Post Office to Addressee.

On July 3, 2023, the Postal Service announced that effective July 9, 2023, it will discontinue Priority Mail Express Label 11-B.

Customers shipping Priority Mail Express items have the option to present each item at a Post Office™ to have a shipping label printed and affixed to it, use a Postal Service self-service kiosk (SSK) (where available) to generate and affix the appropriate shipping label, or choose one of the following payment and shipping methods to create Priority Mail Express shipping labels:

Click-N-Ship®.

USPS Ship.

Electronic Verification System (eVS®).

ePostage®.

PC Postage®.

Metered Postage.

The Postal Service will continue to accept Priority Mail Express shipments with Label 11-B until September 29, 2023. However, the label will no longer be available for order on usps.com.

The Postal Service continues to offer Priority Mail Express Label 11-M, Priority Mail Express Post Office to Addressee, at manual Post Offices and Label 11-HFPU, Priority Mail Express Hold For Pickup, at all Post Offices.

Information on how to access alternative shipping methods is available at usps.com/business/postage-options.htm. Questions may be sent to ShippingServices@usps.gov.

In addition, the Postal Service will update the applicable Quick Service Guides (QSGs) to reflect this revision.

Although the Postal Service will not publish these revisions in the DMM until November 6, 2023, the standards are effective immediately.
