Jasper County — A U.S. Postal Service worker who was severely injured when two dogs mauled her while she was delivering mail, reunited with the Jasper County deputy who saved her life.
Tamara Hartford came by to see Deputy Daniel Coons after she was released from the hospital following the March 19 dog attack in Jasper.
“Hartford is on the road to recovery and Deputy Coons has maintained contact with Hartford and her family since the attack,” according to the Sheriff’s Office. “We are glad to see these happy endings and continue to pray for healing for Ms. Hartford!”
Hartford was critically injured in the March attack, according to Deputy Karli Cherry with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. She says Hartford underwent three operations. She suffered severe injuries to her neck, arm, side, and leg.
