WESTWOOD, Ohio (WKRC) It has been several weeks since Local 12 was alerted to hundreds, maybe thousands of pieces of mail that were dumped at the end of Kremer Ave. in Westwood.
There had been no update from Cincinnati Police or the Postal Service, so Local 12 reached out to learn what action, if any, had been taken.
The mail was dumped in plastic USPS marked containers. There were at least eight of the containers stacked up with hundreds of letters in each one.
Local 12 was told they had been sitting there a few days.
A spokeswoman for the US Postal Service Office of the Inspector General said the letter carrier responsible for delivering the mail was fired and an investigation is underway.
