More lawmakers challenge USPS plans to move Missoula mail processing center

New developments in the battle to keep a U.S. Post Office processing center in Missoula — Montana U.S. Rep. Ryan Zinke is now adding his voice to the cause.

For over a year Montanans, and especially Missoulians, have been fighting to keep the local processing center in Missoula, as new plans look to move operations to Spokane, Washington.

U.S. Sens. Jon Tester and Steve Daines already spoke out to no avail.

Now Zinke, along with 12 others, including Rep. Harriet Hageman of Wyoming, are sharing their thoughts, signing and sending this letter to the Postal Regulatory Commission.

It states the PRC needs to take careful consideration of the negative implications postal processing changes pose for rural communities.
