KALAMAZOO, MI – A Michigan prisoner who mailed letters threatening an anthrax attack and to kill people was sentenced to prison.
Nathon James Zink, 34, was sentenced June 21 to just over nine years in prison for mailing threatening communication to a federal employee and five years for mailing threating communication after he pleaded guilty March 8.
Zink sent handwritten letters through the U.S. Postal Service threatening an anthrax attack, kidnapping and sexual abuse involving local judges, a news release from U.S. Attorney Mark Totten said.
