MADISON — A man wearing a United States Postal Service vest assaulted two employees of a local business during an armed robbery Friday afternoon, according to local police.
Police responded to the 20 block of Boston Post around 2:24 p.m. Friday for a report of an armed robbery at a commercial establishment, Lt. Jeremy Yorke of the Madison Police Department said. Both assaulted employees suffered minor injuries, Yorke said.
The male suspect was wearing a black baseball cap, sunglasses, a gray surgical mask, a blue long-sleeved shirt, a blue United States Postal Service vest and black Nike athletic pants, according to Yorke. He was armed with a stun gun and a “loaded firearm,” Yorke said. Surveillance photos shared by police indicated the suspect had visited the business Thursday.
