HANOVER, Pa. —
A mail truck caught fire Monday morning in Hanover, York County.
It happened just before 6:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the U.S. Post Office in the first block of High Street.
Hanover Area Fire & Rescue Chief Tony Clauser said a mechanic was checking the truck after a report of the odor of something burning. The mechanic started the truck and heard a pop, and the truck burst into flames.
Clauser said there was no mail in the truck.
