Congressman Strong speaks on ‘unacceptable’ mail issues throughout North Alabama

OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. (WAFF) – Congressman Dale Strong calls for action as mail delivery issues plague North Alabama.

As Congressman Dale Strong looked back on 2025, he believed there was a lot to be proud of. The postal service was not one of them.

Strong says the current state of mail delivery across North Alabama is unacceptable.

He says he’s seen many glaring issues in his district, including insufficient staffing and small facilities unable to hold the influx of mail.

“You can’t even park the mail vehicles to load their mail in the parking lot of the post office. Unacceptable,” Strong said. Tents in the parking lot? Unacceptable. People should be able to get their mail delivered in a timely fashion.”

One of the post offices he’s focused on is in Owens Cross Roads.
