HOUSTON — A mail carrier alleges a group mailbox door at a property in Houston became detached and fell on her head.

Angelica Munoz filed a complaint Feb. 1 in Harris County District Court against RPM Living LLC alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to Munoz’s complaint, she was delivering mail to the defendant’s complex in Houston on Jan. 13, 2023. She claims the mailbox door completely detached and fell on her head. Munoz alleges RPM’s negligence for failing to address the hazard and claims they were previously notified of the dangerous condition.

She also alleges RPM was negligent for failing to properly install, inspect, repair and monitor equipment on their property and failed to ensure safety policies were enforced. Munoz claims as a result of the accident, she suffered pain, loss of earnings, mental anguish and incurred medical expenses.

Munoz seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Andrew Dao and Kayvon Alihossini of Daly & Black PC in Houston.
