Family of slain Andrews postal worker share impact statements as judge hands down life sentence

Nine family members, friends and fellow coworkers spoke during the hearing about what Pressley meant to them. Her church friend, Eva Green, addressed the court.

“When I heard that she was killed, it didn’t register at first. I couldn’t eat. Because we just had talked that Sunday at church,” said Green.

Pressley’s siblings said her death has left a hole in their hearts. Her sister, Vernelle Gibson Oates, said she talked with her sister about retiring just prior to her being shot and killed on the job. Oates looked at Seward and asked him a question.
