Pamela Rock’s siblings said no one has taken responsibility for the violent attack, but the family isn’t going anywhere until they get justice.
PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — The family of a 61-year-old woman killed by dogs in Interlachen last August is calling for an independent investigation into her death.
Earlier this year, the State Attorney’s Office decided not to press charges against the owner of the dogs, Edgar Jowers, Jr., because records showed he tried to surrender his pets to Putnam County Animal Services multiple times before the attack.
Pamela Rock’s brother, Tom Rock said no one has taken responsibility for the violent attack of his sister, but the family isn’t going anywhere until they get justice for Pamela.
“This is really all about preventing this from happening again, whether it’s a postal carrier, a kid going to school or a neighbor walking his dog,” Tom Rock said. “It’s just terrible that something horrible has to happen and almost a year later, no progress.”
