ROCHESTER, N.H. —
A fox has been euthanized after it attacked four people, sending them to the hospital to be checked for rabies.
The fox bit a postal worker outside the Rochester Post Office and followed a group of employees who ran into the building.
“We had received multiple calls yesterday, aggressive fox in the area,” Fish and Game Conservation Officer William Jones said.
Jones said the calls reported the fox out during the day, biting at people’s vehicle tires.
“Strange behavior for what a fox should be doing,” Jones said.
He said usually foxes would be shying away from humans, but this one was seen around the city, with the final call coming from the postmaster of the Rochester Post Office after the fox made its way inside the back gate
