2 Flint postal workers charged in federal drug trafficking investigation

FLINT, MI – Two Flint Post Office employees were members of a drug trafficking organization that would send packages containing cocaine to the Flint area, where the employees would hand them off, according to a federal affidavit.

Johnny Coley and Tracy Hudson are charged with delayed mail and conspiracy to distribute cocaine. Coley is also charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine base and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug crime.

Coley and Hudson are scheduled for a preliminary examination before U.S. Federal Magistrate Curtis Ivy Jr. Monday, May 23.
A spokesperson with the USPS declined to comment on whether the two individuals remain USPS employees.

“The Postal Service does not publicly discuss internal administrative actions related to its employees or managers,” USPS Strategic Communications Specialist Elizabeth Najduch said in an email Friday, May 20.
