Wilmington, NC FD: Mail delivery truck damaged in blaze

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Fire Department says a United States Postal Service vehicle caught on fire Monday afternoon.

WFD responded to a fully-involved USPS mail truck around 12:30 p.m.

WFD says crews were able to quickly put out the fire and help the postal worker move the mail away from the vehicle so it wouldn’t be destroyed.

No one was hurt.

No word on what caused the fire.
