MONROE – Eric Wade, of Charlotte, claimed the top spot during the Hot Wheels Legends Tour with a custom-built 1973 AMC Postal Jeep.
More than 125 cars participated and 5,000 Hot Wheels fans attended the event June 15 at Walmart.
Wade’s postal jeep stood out from the crowd with its custom orange and gold pearl paint, a massive hood cowl and an eight-inch drop.
Outside of the original body and the S10 front clip, all the bodywork modifications were developed by Wade.
The build is also a function dragster with a nitrous equipped big block Chevy under the hood.
