New Jersey Postal Truck Fire

At 12:24 this afternoon, FTFD was dispatched with Branchville Hose Company #1, Sandyston Township Fire Department Station 38, and Blue Ridge Rescue Squad for a reported vehicle fire. It was confirmed that a United States Postal Service truck had active fire. 25 Engine’s crew arrived first due and suppressed the fire. Crew from 25 Engine, 25 Tanker, and 24 Engine 3 conducted overhaul to ensure no fire remained, before the vehicle was turned over to the tow company. All units were back in service approximately 30 minutes after dispatch.
